Ruby Roberts

Zelpha Ruby Roberts May 27, 1942 February 7, 2011 Zelpha Ruby Roberts a native of New Mexico and a resident of Patterson passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Ruby lived her life totally devoted to her family. Ruby also enjoyed going mud-riding with her companion of 12 years, Kenneth Polk. Ruby, as she was known by many will be missed but never forgotten. Ruby is survived by her son, Donald Wood of Patterson; her companion, Kenneth Polk also of Patterson; four grandchildren: Tyler Wood, Brittany Torgrimson, Jessica Torgrimson and Leslie Torgrimson all of Patterson; one great grandchild, Bailey Torgrimson; two brothers and two sisters along with numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zelpha Lard and her husband, Jimmy Roberts. A time of remembrance will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 starting at 6pm until 9pm at Twin City Funeral Home and resuming on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 9am until 11am with a service beginning at 11am. Following the service at Twin City Funeral Home, Ruby will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
