Ophelia "Dee" Palmature Scroggins

Ophelia "Dee" Palmature Scroggins a native of Bayou Chene area and a resident of Franklin passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Dee enjoyed spending time outdoors and working in her garden planting flowers.
Dee is survived by her daughter, Juanita Johnson and her husband, Myron of Jeanerette; one son, Timothy Scroggins Sr. of Morgan City; two granddaughters: Melanie Key of Houston and Pamela Harris of Lafayette; eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband, William Scroggins; her parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Palmature; four brothers: Alonzo, Elphese, Lawrence and Ira Palmature; six sisters: Josephine Carline, Agnolia Vuillemont, Mary Blackburn, Annette Rhodes, Francis Guidry and Elmira Palmature; three grandchildren: Timothy William Scroggins Jr., Danielle Allen and Michael Preus.
The visitation will start on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 6pm until 9pm at Twin City Funeral Home and resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 9am until 11am. The service will begin at 11am at Twin City Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
