Ethel M. Hebert, 85, lifelong resident of Bayou L'Ourse, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Ethel was born July 4, 1925 in Morgan City, the daughter of Charles Morrison Sr. and Aline Arcemont Morrison. When she was seventeen she married Wilfred Hebert and he preceded her in death.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and being outside gardening and also enjoyed listening to music, especially her favorite song the Crawfish Boil. She loved spending time with her family and was always a very appreciative person.
Ethel is survived by five children, Margaret Ann Adams, of Morgan City, Brenda Wiggins, of Morgan City, Aaron Hebert, of Lamar, MO, Ella M. Scully, of Wilmington, NC, Kathleen Daigle, of Cut Off, LA; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Hilda Gaudet, Lily Tabor, Gloria Wiggins, Clara Bailey, Wanzie Richard; two brothers, Charles Morrison, and Ira Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Wilfred Hebert, Jr.; one great-grandson, Shane Pullen; one sister, Juanita Bailey; one brother, Andrew Morrison.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Twin City Funeral Home, with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at St. Andrew Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM when a Mass of Christian Burial will take place. Ethel will be laid to rest in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
