Zoila Sophie Revinos Long February 16, 1940 May 20, 2011 Zoila Sophie Recinos Long was called home on Friday, May 20 after a long illness. While she was a renaissance woman, she had an unswerving devotion and calling to aid those around her both at home and in other countries. She would open her home and her heart to those seeking comfort of the soul and spirit. She participated in many missions to bring food, faith, and assistance to all. She attended many churches in the surrounding areas seeking continual knowledge of the Word. She was a member of the Golden Angels. She traveled the world as an offshore cook and worded diligently in the travel industry while raising her family. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by Wanda And Brooke Boudoin (daughter and granddaughter), Helen and Michael McGrath (daughter and son-in-law), and Kelly Kennedy (son). She is also survived by two sisters, one brother, several aunts, cousins, and second cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents (Juan Recinos and Dolores Sosa Recinos), two brothers, and one grandchild (Brandon Boudoin). A memorial service will be held at Iglesia Bautista Latina El Calvario Church in Morgan City on May 25, 2011 at 6:30pm. Pastor Dan Brown will conduct service with neighboring church speakers. A dinner will be held at the church which is located at 7000 Hwy. 182 East, Morgan City, for those who wish to reminisce about Sister Sophie. A private burial will take place at the Morgan City Cemetery. Contact information for Pastor Brown is 985-384-4955.
