"I LOVE YOU" Nathalie Lombes Blakeman June 16, 1931 May 22, 2011 Nathalie Lombes Blakeman a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Nathalie loved being with her family and friends. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity. She maintained her non-stop trademark “I love you” all the way to the end. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was one of seven children born to the late Clamey and Annie Lombes, and was the beloved wife to the late Joseph A. Blakeman for over 40 years and the beloved mother to the late Ralph Blakeman. Nathalie will forever be remembered by her devoted brother Morris Lombes and loving sisters: Anna Mae Evans, Mary Dumont and Cecelia Lodrigue; her brother and sister-n-laws; her beloved daughters: Mary Jo Marshall, Janet Broussard and Susan Portal; treasured grandchildren: April Scarbrough Jackson, Brandon Blakeman, Joey Blakeman, Dean Broussard Jr., Dane Grow, Tyler Portal, Jessica Broussard Clifton, Dru Marshall, and Nick Blakeman; eleven great grandchildren, caring in-laws Rick Marshall, Paula Grow Blakeman, Dean Broussard Sr., David Portal, and Cheryl Estay Blakeman, along with countless other family and friends whom were blessed to know her. Nathalie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Blakeman; her son, Ralph E. Blakeman and her first child “Baby Blakeman”; her brothers: Clamey “Jake” Lombes Jr. and Alvin “Al” Lombes and her parents, Annie and Clamey Lombes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 6pm until 9pm and resuming at 9am until 11am on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the funeral home. A Service of Christian Burial will begin at 11am at Twin City Funeral Home and the Rt. Rev. John M. Smilie will officiate. Nathalie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
