Selma Landry Fabre, age 81, a native of Destrahan, La. passed away at her residence in Berwick on June 14, 2007. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
“Tedie”, as she was affectionately known, loved many things in life such as playing pokeno and bingo, making rummage sales, cooking spaghetti and gumbo, listening to country and rock and roll music, traveling and camping and shrimping. Above all that she loved was her God and her family.
She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by one daughter, Frankie Lynn Hue and her husband, Alton of Berwick; two sons, Milton P. Fabre Jr. and his wife Velma, Roger D. Fabre, and his wife Debra of Morgan City; two sisters, Doris Mae Thibodeaux of Morgan City and Alice Jostand and her husband Tony of Houston, Texas. Ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton P. Fabre Sr., parents Weston and Althea Cortez Landry, a daughter, Wesley Ann Broussard, and a grandson, Shane David Fabre.
The family will receive friends Friday June 15, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Saturday June 16, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will begin at 11 am at Twin City Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Berwick Cemetery.
