Tommy Joseph Wiggins, Sr.

Tommy Joseph Wiggins, Sr.,56, lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. He was born February 4, 1955 in Morgan City, the son of Herman and Rita Boudreaux Wiggins. Later in life he married Jerry Jean Acosta and she survives. Tommy enjoyed cooking and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Jerry; four sons, Tommy Joseph Wiggins, Jr., and wife Sybil , Shaun Wiggins, Jamie Wiggins, Sr. and wife Kelly, Aaron Wiggins, and wife Stephanie; mother, Rita Wiggins; six grandchildren, Brianna Burbante, Drake Wiggins, Ethan Wiggins, Jamie Wiggins, Jr., Aaden Wiggins, Colin Wiggins; one sister, Cheryl Veillion; five brothers, Randy Wiggins, Kenny Wiggins, Donald Wiggins, Curtis Wiggins, Sr., Benny Wiggins; niece Lauren LeBlanc. Tommy was preceded in death by his father Herman; granddaughter, Jade Wiggins; sister, Anita Wiggins. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home with Monsignor Courville officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home, with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Tommy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
