Hazel Westfall

Hazel Westfall, 83, A lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Hazel was the daughter of Ivy and Irene Comeaux Anslem. Hazel enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, cooking, especially her Chicken stew, but most of all , the time she spent with her family. Hazel is survived by her two sons; Raymond Solar Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Bush, La., Donald Solar of Morgan City, one daughter, Judith Faul and her husband Ronald of Bayou Vista. One sister, Elma Voisin of Morgan City, seven Grandchildren and ten Great-grandchildren also survive her. Hazel was preceded in death by her 1st husband Raymond Solar Sr. and her 2nd husband Alvin Westfall, two sons; Ernest Solar, Byrnes Solar and seven brothers and sisters. A time of remembrance and reflection will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 6pm until 10pm, resuming Friday, July 6, 2007 from 9am until 1pm. Funeral services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home, Friday, July 6, 2007 at 1pm. Hazel will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
