Glenn Charles Peterson

November 14, 1946 — January 19, 2012

Glenn Charles Peterson, Sr., 65, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Stephensville passed away Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. Glenn was born on November 14, 1946 in Morgan City the son of Tracey J. Peterson, Sr. and Hazel Cortez. Glenn worked for Young Memorial as an Electrical Instructor for many years and was also a member of the selective service board. He enjoyed building furniture and bird houses as well as restoring old cars. He also enjoyed photography. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family but especially with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Cora Fonseca Peterson, of Stephensville; daughter Lisa Marie Peterson Roy and husband Charley, of Berwick; son Glenn C. Peterson, Jr. and wife Brandie, of Stephensville; four grandchildren, Matthew Roy, Emily Roy, both of Berwick, Karmen Peterson, Blake Peterson, both of Stephensville. Also surviving is one brother Danny Peterson and wife Gwen, of Bayou Vista; father-in-law James N. Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracey J. Peterson, Sr. and Hazel Cortez Peterson; one brother, Tracey J. Peterson, Jr. The family would like to thank the following people for the love and support they have shown Glenn, Bill Cefalu, Darren Bergeron, A.J. Cannata, Jimmy Martin, Mike Leger, Russell McGuire, Billy Parker, and the staff at Medical Care Center in Morgan City, and all those who made a difference in Glenn's life that we did not mention. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until the time of mass on Monday at the church. Glenn will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.
