On Saturday, May 26, 2012 Joseph O. Keller, Sr., passed away after a long & courageous battle with cancer, at his residence in Patterson, he was surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Linda G. Keller; two sons, Joseph Andrew Keller and wife Pamela of Rifle, Colorado, Joseph O. Keller, Jr. and his wife Lesley of Patterson; one daughter Jo Lynn Lewis and husband Tim of Patterson; five grandchildren, Brittany R. Keller, Joseph O. Keller III, Joseph Andrew Keller, Jr., Leland G. Keller, Wendel L. Keller; one great grandchild Hayven A. Keller; two sisters Rose Mary Bernard and Elizabeth K. Carbonell of Patterson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by one son Steven C. Keller; his parents Leola and A.J. Keller and Bess and Floyd Newby; his mother and father-in-law Rachel and Dudley Gaspar; two nephews Robert G. Sellers and Michael R. Carbonell, Sr.
Visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Wednesday May 30, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. At 11:00 a.m. a Masonic Service provided by Lafayette #87 and Doric #205 will be held with a Service of Christian Burial to follow with Rev. Vernon Fairley officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Pallbears will be, Joseph Andrew Keller, Sr., Joseph O. Keller, Jr., Joseph O. Keller III, Joseph Andrew Keller, Jr., Leland G. Keller, Wendel L. Keller, and Timothy Lewis.
The family would like to thank Dr. Robert P. Blereau, Bayou Home Care, and his favorite nurse Jessica “The Girl” for all the care and support they gave.
