Curtis Bonin, 51, a resident of Patterson and a native of Morgan City, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at his residence. Curtis was a natural musician, he could play all instruments, but the guitar was his favorite. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. Curtis was a kind and generous person that would literally give you the shirt off his back. He was always the life of the party and a jokester; he enjoyed having his family over to enjoy his “world famous” gumbo. His family was his greatest joy Curtis is survived by his wife Maxine Buquet Bonin of Patterson, three daughters, Sherrie Bonin Edwards and her husband William Edwards Jr. of Plaquemine, Kacy Bonin and her fiancee Eddie Norman Jr. of Morgan City, Deanna Orgeron Hillebran and her husband Cliff of Morgan City, six step-daughters, Jennifer Orgeron, Lana Crappell and her husband Herbert, Christina Brunet, Samantha Brunet, Kayla Brunet and Eve Buquet; three step-sons, John Brunet of Houma, Philip Brunet of Houma and Travis Buquet of Patterson. H is also survived by his father, Lockwood Bonin Sr. of Morgan City, two brothers, Lockwood Bonin Jr and his wife Ginger of Morgan City, Kevin Mitchell of Bayou Vista, two sisters, Linda Cole and her Husband Don of Bayou Vista, Ginger Roy and her husband Sterling of Bayou Vista, four grandchildren and ten step-grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Curtis is preceded in death by his mother, Lena Mae Sauce and his granddaughter, Michaela Edwards. Visitation will be held, Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 10 p.m., resuming Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 11am. Funeral services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home at 11am.
