Adeline Jones

Adeline Agnes Wiebe Jones, 75, a native of Clinton, Oklahoma and long-time resident of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, passed away on October 4, 2007 in Houma, Louisiana at Terrebonne General Medical Center. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Adeline loved spending time with her family, sewing, gardening, bird watching, and documenting her family’s genealogy. Her family will remember her thoughtful spirit and generous nature to all she loved, and will miss her dearly. She is survived by her son Steven Jones, & wife Karen of Birmingham, Alabama; two daughters, Cherie Materi-Green & husband John of Bremerton, Washington; & Theresa Grow & husband Terry of Bayou Vista, Louisiana. Her two sisters, Doris Jean White & husband Milford of Alva, Oklahoma; Leona Anna Teeter of Foss, Oklahoma; one brother Ralph Jacob Wiebe of Springfield, Illinois; & sister-in-law Barbara Wiebe of Clinton, Oklahoma also survive her. Adeline Jones had 11 grandchildren: Ashley Jones, Priscilla Jones, Katrina Miller, Savannah Jones, Denise Materi-Powell, David Sons, Joshua Materi, Trisha Materi-Capps, Terry W. Grow, Jr., Colt Grow & Asa Grow. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Jacob Wiebe of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her mother Anna Sawatsky Wiebe, along with her brother Alfred Ellis Wiebe, each of Clinton, Oklahoma, her sister-in-law Gladys Wiebe of Springfield, Illinois, her brother-in-law Raymond Teeter of Foss, Oklahoma, her twin sons Derik & Erik Jones, & her grandson Travis Wayne Grow of Bayou Vista, Louisiana. A memorial services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana, on Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
