Wade Scully, 72 a native of Morgan City and a resident of Jackson, Mississippi passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.
Wade was born on November 20, 1939 in Morgan City the son of John and Noelie Delaune Scully.
He was an English teacher and Senior Counselor within the public system in Jackson for many years. He taught, advised and touch hundreds of student's lives. Wade had a calling with adolescents who grew to adore and love him. He had a special gift of nurturing and guiding even the most lost kids to fulfill their life dreams.
He worked for L.H. Printing for many years and considered the Gray and Wells families to be extended family. He had numerous families and homes, because every life he touched became a special friend or family member.
His smile and Mississippi accent touched so many hearts and exuded a warmth, safety , and spirituality that is really indescribable. He would have a nickname for you, based on the love and laughter that he felt on a genuine level.
For all who knew Wade and felt his love for the lord.....He is home now and finally at peace with God.
He will be remembered fondly and will never be forgotten.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sisters, Audrey "Doot" Bailey of Stephensville, Nelda Daigle of Morgan City, Lee Ann "Dee Dee" Acosta of Stephensville; one brother Hubert "Shine" Scully of Bayou Vista; numerous nieces, nephews, many close special friends, and special pumpkin heads.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Scully and Noelie Delaune Scully; two brothers, Leonard "Yan" Scully and Elwood Scully.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Wade will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Celebration Fellowship located at 101 Strokes Robertson Drive, Jackson, Mississippi.
