Ruberta “Bert” LaCoste, 84, passed away October 13, 2007 at Patterson Healthcare Center. She was an excellent cook, she loved to cook any and everything. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and helping people. Ruberta loved to spoil her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Irving Lacoste Jr. and his wife Pat of Bayou L’Ourse, her daughter, Gwendolyn Luu and her boyfriend Patrick Cloutier of Morgan City, her two brothers; Merval Adams Sr. and his wife Claudette of Bayou Vista, Eulice Adams and his wife Carol of Morgan City, her sisters; Ruby Written of Morgan City, Hilda Dobard of Morgan City, Edmae Landry of Morgan City and Rosalie Dupuy and her husband Clarence of Amelia. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Stacey L. Jones, Jennifer L. Holley, Corey Luu and Jordan LaCoste, and her two great-grandchildren, Elijah Jones and Isaiah Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Lacoste Sr., her father and mother, Clivie Adams and Louise Champagne Adams, her daughter, Elsie LaCoste, her son, Brian LaCoste, and her sister, Beulah Estay.
Visitation will be observed Tuesday, October 16, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will commence at Twin City Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.
She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
