Paul Willie Aucoin, 85, a resident of Bayou Vista passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Patterson Healthcare Center. Paul was born September 7, 1926 in Lake Verrett the son of Clay Aucoin, Sr. and Edola Solar. Paul loved to spend his time doing anything that involved being on a boat, he especially loved shrimping. Early in his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing and he also loved working in the yard. He was a member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two children, Amanda Binion and husband Billy of Bayou Vista, Bruce Aucoin and wife Debbie of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren, Tara Sims, Leslie Johnson, Missy Foster and husband Brud, Megan Selten and husband Drew, Reba Notgrass, Lori Hebert and husband Chad, Curt Binion, Terri Morrison, Tina Arns and husband Don; Eighteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Alfred Aucoin and wife Dot of Morgan City. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Clay Aucoin, Sr. and Edola Solar Aucoin; wife, Myrtle LaCoste Aucoin, two sisters, Hazel Connel and Rosa Mae Rock; one brother, Clay Aucoin Jr.; one great-granddaughter Savana Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Paul will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery with military honors provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad.
