J.D. Fisher

J. D. Fisher, Jr. 68, a resident of Bunkie passed away Monday, July 16, 2012 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. J.D. was born February 26, 1944 in Jenks, Oklahoma the son of J.D. Fisher, Sr. and Faye Beach Fisher. He was a true Christian Cowboy who loved his family and his horses. He was a very simple man who loved living a simple life in the country. His smile, laugh, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. J.D. will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Suzanne Aucoin Fisher of Morgan City; daughter, Gaylene Varnam and husband Robert of Morgan City; one son Curt Fisher, Sr. and companion Chanda Sanson of Morgan City; mother, Faye Beach Fisher of Scott, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Brandon Varnam and fiance Stephanie Scott, Candice Varnam, Brittney Fisher, Bryan Fisher, Curt Fisher, Jr.; one step-grandchild Tyler Campbell; one great-granddaughter Jayle Fisher and another on the way he was looking forward to spoiling rotten. He is also survived by two sisters, Wanda Smith Seaton and Ruby Joyce Festervand. He was preceded in death by his father J.D. Fisher, Sr. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Morgan City Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Cuvillier officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Higher Ground Family Church P.O. Box 849 Morgan City, LA 70380.
