Wilbur J. Francis 63, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Wilbur was born on December 14, 1948 in Morgan City the son of Donald James Francis, Sr. and Wilma Marie Boudreaux Francis.
Wilbur had a love for fishing, playing the guitar, and riding his motorcycle. He was Chaplain and original member of the Sovaros Motorcycle Club of Berwick. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing music with them. He was a very loving husband who took care of his wife and brother-in-law David Lancon. He had a special place in his heart for his little Chihuahua Poncho.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving wife of forty years Patricia Lancon Francis of Morgan City; four sisters, Linda Francis Wedig and husband Brian of Berwick, Judy Francis Johnson of Morgan City, Cheryl Ann Tabor of Morgan City, Carla Francis Baker and husband Mike Baker, Sr. of Berwick. He is also survived by five godchildren, Joel Lee Mooney, Jr., Leah Baker, Lauren Mooney, Tracey Landry, and Nurban Davis Delgado; many nieces and nephews.
Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents Donald James Francis, Sr. and Wilma Marie Francis Boudreaux; one brother, Donald "Donnie" Francis, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Wilbur will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
