Howard J. Thompson Jr. August 22, 1953 August 16, 2012 Howard J. Thompson Jr., 58, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at his residence. Howard graduated from Berwick High in 1973 and soon after started playing baseball for a semi pro baseball team. Howard was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors. He also spent time commercial fishing and making his living on the water. Howard enjoyed spending time with his family and treasured each of his children and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Howard is survived by his two sons: Heath Thompson Sr. and wife, Kimber of Morgan City and Jesse Thompson of Morgan City; one daughter, Holli Jade Crochet and husband, Chad of Morgan City; four grandchildren: Heath Thompson Jr, Dylon Chellette, Dustin Chellette and Aubrey J. Daigle III; two step grandchildren: Sadie and Carlie Crochet; one sister, Trudy Dupuy and M.J. of Berwick; ex-wife of 22 years and mother of his three children, Karen Barrilleaux of Bayou Vista; Godson/nephew, Troy Dupuy and wife, Stephanie of Berwick and niece, Nissa Giarth and husband, Hughston of Berwick along with a host of other nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Dolly Thompson Sr. and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Family and friends are invited to observe a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, August 25, 2012 beginning at 10am until 2pm with a Memorial Service starting at 1:30pm at Twin City Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in the Berwick Mausoleum after the service.
