Bettie Oliver

January 15, 1930 — November 12, 2007

Bettie Joyce Clifton Oliver, 77, a native of Houston TX, and a resident of Berwick, passed away surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend and Maw-Maw. Bettie was a tremendous blessing to her large family and all who loved and knew her. Devout in faith, she loved Jesus and served him gladly from a young girl. She was a faithful member of The Crossing Place in Morgan City. Her gentle ways, wisdom and smiles will be sadly missed by her five daughters and their spouses. Bettie is survived by her daughters, Diana Plessala and her husband Rev. Randy Plessala of Berwick, Cathy Michel and her husband L.J. Michel Jr. of Berwick, Mary Crochet and her husband Tracy of Morgan City, Tracy Davis and her husband Rev. Randy Davis of Jackson, MS, Lily Rebardi and her husband Hilton Rebardi Jr. of Berwick, two brothers, Percy Clifton of Franklin, Jack Clifton of New Iberia, two sisters, Helen Provost of Deer Park, TX, Patricia Aucoin of Jennings, LA, 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grand children and a host of family and friends. She was a loving wife for 50 years to her husband Alfred Oliver Jr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Alfred Oliver III, her parents, Fannie Gee and Marshall Clifton Sr. and one brother Marshall Clifton. Pastor Shane Harris, Rev. Randy Plessala, Rev. Randy Davis and Evangelist Charles Provost, all family members will officiate the service. Vistitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 6pm to 9pm at Twin City Funeral Home, resuming Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 9am until 2pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm at Twin City Funeral Home. Bettie will be laid to rest in Willow Grove Cemetery in Berwick.
