Philo Adam Daigle went home to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Lord at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. He was 72 years old.
He was born on March 2, 1935 in Belle River to his dear parents, Herbert and Mable Daigle who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Beatrice Guillory Daigle; his for sons; Dean A. Daigle and his wife Renee, Phil A. Daigle, Shane Daigle, Kerry Daigle and his wife Lucy; 6 grandchildren; Bethany Daigle, Heaven Daigle, Nicholas Daigle, Devon Daigle, Joshua Daigle and “Yvette”; two brothers; Aldon Daigle and his wife Linda, and Bobby Daigle; and his sister-in-law Patsy Daigle.
Also seated at Jesus’ Thanksgiving feast are his beloved brother, Shelby Daigle Sr.; his sweet sister, Enez D. Rhodes and her husband, Nolton Rhodes; and his treasured sister-in-law, Vida Daigle; and niece Gail Barrilleaux.
Philo was a welder by trade, who worked for J. Ray McDermott for 29 years between 1958 and 1987.
He was a fun-loving and good-natured man who loved to eat and spend time with his family. As far as he was concerned, food and family went together like dancing and Cajun music, which he enjoyed.
Friendly and out-going, Philo made friends wherever he went. He loved to talk, and laughingly accepted his family’s gentle ribbing about his frequent mispronunciations.
His wife will miss her husband, his sons will miss their Daddy, his grandchildren will miss their Paw-Paw, his brothers will miss their brother, and we will all miss our friend.
