Blanche K Verdin, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Patterson, passed away on
November 28, 2007 at the Chabert Medical Center in Houma, La.
Blanche was a very loving and giving person. Her life was her Jesus and to be more like Him
was her goal. Her love for her family came next and she never missed any of their events including
sporting events. Her christian spirit caused her to be more mindful and helpful of others. She
enjoyed cooking, especially gumbo and spaghetti. Traveling and camping were part of her pleasure
as well as listening and dancing to her favorite country music. “Toys for Tots” was one of the
projects she enjoyed working on as it allowed he to use one of her many talents of being creative.
Blanche is survived by her husband, Roy D. Verdin Sr., one son Roy Verdin Jr. and his wife Anastasia
of Centerville, La., and a daughter Victoria Merida of Galliano, La. She is also survived by four
grand children, Ana Merida, Josie Merida,O’Brien Verdin, and Cayne Verdin. She is also survived
by two brothers and five sisters.
Blanche was predeceased by her father and mother, Joseph and Alice Daigle, one brother and
one sister.
A visitation will be held at Cornerstone Ministeries on Everrett St. from 9AM until 12 noon
on Friday November 30, 2007. Funeral services for Blanche will be held at Cornerstone Ministries
at noon. She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery
