Robert W. Van Pelt Jr., 54, a native of Franklin and a resident of Berwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October4, 2012 at his home.
Robert was a devoted father, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was employed for many years at the A.J. Dohmann dealership. He had a love for sports and was a dedicated fan of the New Orleans Saints, LSU Tigers, Texas Rangers, and NASCAR. He was an active member of the Krewe of Adonis. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Tiffany Van Pelt of Houma; uncle and aunt, Donald and Mickey Pearson of Berwick; cousins, Dean Landry, Mae Lynn Landry, Bobby Hughes, Lewis Hughes, Greg Landry, Claire Howey, Stephanie Walsh, Brian Berry, Scott Berry; and numerous relatives of the Turner family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. Van Pelt Sr. and Timmie Guillory Van Pelt; and one brother, Danny Van Pelt.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home with Rev. Steven Porter officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
