Allison Mary Campo McKay, 33, a resident of Berwick and a native of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Allison was a loving, giving, outgoing and positive woman. She was loved by all that knew her. Allison was a junior in college, majoring in kindergarten education. She attended Nicholls State University, University of Louisiana Lafayette and Western Governors University. Allison was a people person. She was the Children Church Teacher at The Crossing Place and Cornerstone Ministries. She loved being in Christian Service. During high school, Allison participated in St. Mary Parish Junior Miss and received the Creative and Performing Arts Award. At graduation she received the American History Award and the English Award. In 1994, Allison was chosen as the Queen of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival. Most of all Allison was a loving and devoted mother. Her proudest achievement was becoming a mother to her daughter Emily Faith McKay. Allison is survived by her Daughter, Emily Faith McKay of Berwick, her Parents, Mark and Gina Mancuso Campo of Berwick; her Grandmothers, Faith Chauvin Mancuso and Merrill Lamury Campo, her Aunts & Uncles, Ray Campo Jr. and his wife Phyllis of LaComb, La., Melanie Campo O’Neill of Kenner, La., Lisa Campo of South Carolina, Don Campo of Algiers, La., Nick and Susan Mancuso of Metarie, La., Bart and Monica Mancuso of Morgan City, Vincent Mancuso Jr.and his wife Trish of Youngsville, La., Fran Mancuso of Carencro, La., She is also survived by numerous cousins; Francis Mancuso Chauvin, Mary Mancuso White, Andrew Mancuso, Luke Mancuso, Sara Mancuso, Kathryn Mancuso, Michelle Mancuso Flott, Paul Mancuso, Jeri Mire, David Mire, Danielle Campo, Colin O’Neill, Ashley Campo and Shawn Campo. Allison was preceded in death by her Grandfathers, Vincent A. Mancuso Sr. and Ray L. Campo Sr. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 1pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Twin City Funeral Home at 1pm. Allison will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
