Leona Romero

Leona Esther Romero March 17, 1931 October 17, 2012 Leona Esther Romero, 81, a native of Krotz Springs, and a resident of Amelia passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Leona is survived by her daughter, Donna Arcemont and her companion, Keith Goolsby of Amelia; her son, Scott Romero and wife, Linda of Morgan City; two grandchildren: Leo and Eric; one brother, Carlton Johnson of Krotz Springs and one niece, Gail Johnson of Krotz Springs. Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Romero; parents, Valerie and May Johnson; one brother, Wesley Johnson; five sisters: Lillian Johnson, Evelyn Valin, Ronnie Johnson, Birdie Clark and Eula Lombas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 beginning at 11am until 12pm at First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. The service will begin at 12pm at the church and she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the service.
