Ethel M. Acosta Aucoin, 90, a resident of Napoleonville, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Heritage Manor in Napoleonville.
Ethel was born on April 25, 1922 in Morgan City the daughter of Luke and Enola Stephens Hymel.
She and her husband were the owners and operators of the Jungle Inn in Stephensville and prior to that she was a commercial fisherman. She loved to crochet and spend time with her family.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two children, Jeffery Acosta and wife Virgis of Pierre Part and Theresa Dupre and husband Michael Dupre Sr. of Stephensville; five grandchildren, Michael Dupre Jr., Steve Dupre, Lisa Dupre Millet, Kenneth Acosta, Melissa Acosta Rivere; eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luke Hymel and Enola Stephens Hymel; one son Terry Acosta; husbands Wilbert "Toby" Acosta and Raymond Aucoin; two brothers, Royal Hymel and Irving Hymel; one sister, Eula Hartman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Ethel will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
