Bernard “Bernie” Leroy Liverman, 66, a resident of Amelia, and a native of Liberty, Missouri passed away Monday, January 21, 2008 at his residence. Bernie loved cars and he loved racing them. He was a workaholic, but did enjoy traveling and cooking, especially carrot cake and seafood. He also enjoyed playing cards, Bernie was a very generous person, that will be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vera Liverman, his three sons; Brett Liverman and his wife Theresa of Bayou L’Ourse, Bernard Liverman Jr. of Amelia, and George Liverman and his wife Chrissy of Katy, TX, his daughter, Lisa Liverman of Liberty, MI, his brother, Billy Mac Liverman of N.C. his sister, Cindy Wellborn and her husband Jeff of Parker, CO. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Corey, Brettny, Matthew, Nathaniel, Wesley, Liliana Liverman , Zach and Zaun Younts.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Wilma Floyd Liverman.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Resuming, Friday, January 25, 2008 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral service will be held Friday, January 25, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Bernie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
