Eunice P. Daigle 89, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Eunice was born on December 31, 1922 in Belle River the daughter of Sidonie and Marie Daigle Percle.
Eunice lived abundantly on meager means and was always giving and caring for others. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was a founding and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Gayle Chase and husband L.J. of Morgan City, Pam Mayon and husband Steven of Morgan City; seven grandchildren, Christopher Chase, Amanda Chase, Renee Chase, Tammie Chase, Neal Mayon, Ashley Mayon, Alana Mayon; four great-grandchildren, Parker Chase, Bishop Chase, Heather Chase Crowder, Violet Busse; two sisters-in-law, Viola Percle and Lovenia Percle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and two loving care givers Jane V. Barras and Mary E. Mattingly.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents Sidonie Percle and Marie Daigle Percle; husband, Jerome "Bill" Daigle; three brothers, Rene Percle, Clarence Percle, Evert Percle; three sisters, Ella P. Michel, Amy P. Verrett, Hilda P. Verrett.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass on Tuesday at the church with a rosary being prayed at 8:30 a.m. Eunice will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
