Gary Domino, 61, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away January 25, 2008. He was the son of the late Nunsie Frank Domino and Virginia Fuhrer Domino. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Christoforo Columbo Society and the Sacred Heart Usher Society. Gary loved to spoil his children and grandchildren and treasured time with all of the family be it plane, train or automobile. One of Gary’s early loves was racing cars and traveling. Gary also loved the profession of diving. He enjoyed music and he loved the memories of the old family home “Hard Times Plantation”. Besides being a member of Sacred Heart Church, he was also a retreatant at Our Lady of the Oaks at Grand Coteau, LA.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Gros Domino of Morgan City; his two sons, Gary W. Domino Jr. of Houma and Grady Paul Domino of Morgan City; his two daughters, Tami Wiggins of Patterson and Michelle Fertita and her husband Jay of San Antonio, TX; his sister Kathryn D. Jett and her husband Donald Jett Sr., of Morgan City.
He is also survived by his eight special grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Chazz Frank Domino and by his “ Pa “Charles T. Fuhrer.
A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service will be officiated by Father Jay Baker.
He will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
