Dirk Broussard

Dirk Broussard 44, passed away at his residence January 30, 2008 in Gibson. He was a native of Crowley. Dirk was a great outdoorsman who loved to take his family hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed working on old cars and also enjoyed music and dancing. Most of all he loved his family and had a kind and loving heart even in pain. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Broussard of Gibson; his two children, Brandon Broussard and Jaimie Broussard both of Gibson;his mother, Janet Floyd; his four brothers, Ernest Broussard Jr. and his wife Mitzi of Morgan City, Tony Broussard and his wife Janetta of Crowley, Mark Broussard Sr. and his wife Patricia of Bayou L’Ourse and Troy Broussard of Crowley; his sister, Alice B. Lovell and her husband Nathan Sr. of Bayou L’Ourse. He also is survived by his father and mother-in-law, Milton and Theresa Aucoin; his two god-children, Jacob and Michael Aucoin and a family friend, Mandy Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Broussard Sr. and by his brother, Glenn Broussard. The family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
