Floyd Nathan Written

Floyd Nathan Written, 68, a resident of Bayou L'Ourse, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home. Floyd was born on June 23, 1944 in Morgan City the son of Joseph Walter and Ruby Mae Adams Written. Floyd loved spending time with his family and friends but especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to the camp where he loved to hunt and fish. He loved to cook for his family, listen to music, and most of all tell stories. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Bessie Gath Written of Bayou L'Ourse; six children, Mary Ann Written Ramirez and husband Jesus of Morgan City, Chrisanna Duplichan, Georganna Sweetser, Christia Vining, Clement Vining Jr and wife Linda, Glenn Vining and wife Mellisa all of Bayou L'Ourse; one brother, Woodrow Written of Morgan City; two sisters, Maxine Martinez and Theda Pojar both of Morgan City. Floyd is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Pollard, Shawn Michael Pollard, Kayla Marie Pollard, Tiffany Ann Pollard all of Morgan City, Rosanna Daleiden of Hawaii, Jerica Sweetser of Bayou L'Ourse, Glenn Vining Jr. of Lydia, Brandon Vining, Tasha Vining both of Bayou L'Ourse, Heather Vining of Lafayette, Sherry Ordoyne, Rickey Foret, Amanda Vining all of Bayou L'Ourse, Patricia Rodriguez of Patterson, Gary Elliott of Morgan City, Jasmine Colegrove of Bayou L'Ourse, Anna Snyder, Tristin Snyder, Cristin Snyder all of Bayou L'Ourse; twenty-one great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and loving niece Sabrina Written Lord and husband Kevin. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Walter Written and Ruby Mae Adams Written; two sons, Floyd Nathan Written Jr. and Jason Paul Written; two grandsons; one great-grandson. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
