Travis James LaBouve, 27, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Travis is the son of Lonnie and Kathy Besse LaBouve. Travis was a talented young man, he was selected from college students around the country to sing at Carnegie Hall not once but twice. Travis was a published poet, an accomplished organist, he played for St. Bernadette, St. Stephen’s, Holy Cross-and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches. Travis loved serving the Lord. He will be truly missed.
Travis is survived by his Parents, Lonnie and Kathy LaBouve of Berwick, Two Brothers, Ricky LaBouve of Morgan City and Derek LaBouve of Berwick. His Maternal Grandparents, Emory and Mary Besse of Morgan City also survive Travis.
Travis was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Lelande Gail Selvey, Paternal Grandparents, Nelson and Loretta LaBouve.
The Family will receive friends at Twin City Funeral Home, Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 6pm until 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm. The visitation will continue Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista from 8am until 10am. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10am with Father Louis Vu officiating. Travis will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.

The Family request that donation be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital and Make a Wish Foundation in lieu of flowers.
