Jessie James Ledet, 67, a native of Lockport and resident of Berwick passed away Feb. 12, 2008.
Jessie was a boxing coach and also boxed in the Army. He loved to watch western movies, listen to country music, to travel, fish and hunt.
He is survived by his three sons, Chris Ledet of Lafayette, Craig Ledet and his wife Jolene of Lincoln, KS., and Chaz Ledet of Grand Junction, CO; his two daughters, Cheryl Ledet of Berwick and Cindy Ledet of Lafayette; his three sisters, Betty Ledet Fitch of Houma, Helen Ledet Merrill of Patterson and Hilda Pennison of Houma.
He is also survived by six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Ledet and Mable Naquin Ledet, his wife Jeanette Leboeuf Ledet and his sister, Pearl Use.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume at the funeral home Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. and will be conducted by Pastor John Smilie.
