Cornelia Anslem, 53, a native and resident of Morgan City passed away Feb. 14, 2008 at Teche Regional Medical Center. DeDe loved to go to the Casino, she was an excellent cook, especially fried chicken and white beans & rice. DeDe enjoyed spending time with her sisters, family and friends. She was a good friend to all and easy to talk to. Most of all she loved her husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, James Anslem; her two sons, Mark Griffin Jr. and his wife Annette, of Morgan City and Jason Anslem of Morgan City; her four daughters, Julie Anslem of Morgan City, Jamie McHugh and her husband Michael (Mitch) of Dolphin Island, AL., Crystal Green and her husband Greg of Morgan City and Joy Anslem of Morgan City; her three brothers, Nolden (Doug) Adams and his wife Ann of Morgan City, Faron Adams and his wife Myrna of Berwick and Terry Adams and his wife Sharon of Patterson; her four sisters, Mary Ward and her husband Joe of Morgan City, Carol Adams and her husband Eulice of Morgan City, Shirley Anslem and her husband Gerald of Morgan City and Tammy Adams of Morgan City.
She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; Malynn, Micaela, Angelle, Donovan, Cody, Gage, Eriq, Alexis, Hunner, Caroline, Matthew, Antonio, Aalyiaha, and her dear friend and travel companion Faye Anslem.
She was preceded in death by her parents Nolden and Wilda Adams.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 15, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
Visitation will resume Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
