Cindy Sue Stratton, 48, a resident of Thousand Oaks, CA., and a native of Morgan City, passed away, Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at her residence. Cindy loved to spend time with all of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching movies with her mother until the early morning hours. Cindy also enjoyed the occasional trips to the casino.
Our lives are not as simple as they used to be, the times we get together are not as frequent as we would like. Something’s never change, like the great feeling I get every time I think of something we’ve shared or how proud I’ve always been to have a mother like you. A mother who brings a lot of sunshine into my world every time she comes to mind. “We love you Momma always & forever”!
Cindy is survived by her mother, Enora Poche of Morgan City, one son, Cecil “Mikey” Stratton of Morgan City, one daughter, Sidonia Stratton and her fiancee Damian Brown of Morgan City, four brothers, Ernest Stratton and his wife Elaine of Patterson, Wayne Stratton and his wife Tina of Morgan City, Shelly Stratton of Texas, Moses Stratton of Texas, five sisters, Judy Leal of Bayou L’Ourse, Evelyn “Pasty” Lombas and her husband Cliff of Stephensville, Lisa Sons of Berwick, Cotina Rink and her husband Lee of Bayou Vista and Dawn Stratton of Texas. Cindy is also survived by five grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Damian Brown, Victoria Stratton, Krisalina Stratton, Angelina Stratton. Her companion, Doug Single and the father of her children Cecil Nolan.
Cindy was preceded in death by her Father Ernest Stratton, brother Lonnie Stratton, maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Sidonia Aucoin, two aunts, Ida Mae Mire and Enola Johnson.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Monday, February 25, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 1pm. Funeral service will begin at 1pm. Cindy will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
