Glenn "Buddy" Sykes Sr.

Glenn E. "Buddy" Sykes Sr., 66, a resident of Abita Springs, Louisiana passed away Friday, February 15, 2013 in Poplarville, Mississippi . Glenn was born on July 9, 1946 in Tallulah, Louisiana the son of Horace Eugene Skyes and Dorothy Wynn Sykes Moore. Glenn had an astonishing work ethic and was very dedicated to his career as an owner of a heavy equipment company. Family and friends was very important to Buddy as he took great pride in always taking care of them. As a member of the RV group "Louisiana Mudd Bugs" he loved to travel. Glenn also enjoyed fishing, everyday, twice a day, at Magnolia Lakes. May he rest in peace. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Evelyn Gregory Sykes of Abita Springs; one son, Glenn "Bo" Sykes Jr. and companion Tammy Lirette of Abita Springs; one niece, Barbara Leann Sykes of Everett, Washington; Along with several other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents Horace Eugene Sykes and Dorothy Wynn Sykes Moore; one brother, Horace Edward "Sonny" Sykes. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Glenn will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
