Ollie Rock

Ollie Catherine Rock, 64, a resident of Bayou Vista and a native of Halifax County, VA, passed away, Monday March 10, 2008 at Terrebonne General Medical Center. Ollie was known as Momma Cat to all of her friends and loved ones. She was the most kind, caring and giving mom any person could ever ask for. She was loved dearly by all of her children. She was also a member of Bayou Vista Community Fellowship Church She is survived by her husband, Joseph Rock of Bayou Vista, her two sons, Kent Mitchell East and his wife Susan of Clover, VA., Jackie East of Berwick and her step son,Troy Michael Rock of Metairie; her two step-daughters, Wendy Marie Gauthier and her husband Mike of Metairie and Lynnette Rock and her husband Tim of PA., her two brothers, Bradley Hazelwood and his wife Jean of Halifax County, VA., and Elderidge Hazelwood of Halifax County, VA., her three sisters, Daisy Franklin, Barbara Hazelwood and her husband Joe and Ida Conner and her husband Mitchell all of Halifax County, VA. She is also survived by one grandchild, Cathy Lee East, and five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Lee Hazelwood and Annie King Hazelwood, her sister, Carol Sue Hazelwood and her son, Ricky Lee East. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday, March 14, 2008 in Virginia. Funeral services are set for Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Brooks Funeral Home in Clover, Virginia at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Clover Cemetery in Virginia.
