Elise Bridget Vaughn

Elise Bridget Vaughn, 78, a lifelong resident of Bayou L'ourse, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette. Elise was born on October 8, 1934 in Morgan City the daughter of William Verret and Velma Pennison Verret. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by six children, Terry Vaughn of Morgan City, Thomas Vaughn and wife Catherine of Berwick, Karl Vaughn and Rene Vaughn both of Bayou L'Ourse, Walter Vaughn of Morgan City, Tina Vaughn of Orlando, Florida; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five sisters, Edna V. Babineaux and Patricia V. Coffman both of Houma, Delores V. Lajaunie of Morgan City, Yvonne V. Norris of Labadieville, Jennie V. Mire of Morgan City. Elise was preceded in death by her parents, William and Velma Pennison Verret; one grandson, Randy Vaughn; one infant daughter. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home with a rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will resume from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
