Ethel L. Comeaux Lemaster, 92, a resident of Morgan City passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Ethel was born on August 31, 1920 on Avoca Island the daughter of William Louviere and Leontine Dufrene Louviere.
Ethel loved spending her time outdoors working in her flower garden and vegetable garden. She had a love for all animals. For anyone who knew Ethel knew she had a wonderful sense of humor.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Clayborn H. "Herb" Lemaster of Morgan City; four children, Terry Lyn Moses of Pearland, Texas, Cathy Carpenter and husband David of Morgan City, Mickey Jude Comeaux of Morgan City, Sheila Barr of Amite; one step-daughter, Barbara Thrower and husband Paul of Fairfield Glades, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eleven step great-grandchildren; one step great-great-granddaughter. Ethel is also survived by two brothers, Earl Louviere and Nolan Louviere and wife Dot all of Houma; two sisters, Bernice Guidry and Yvonne Giroir both of Houma.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, William and Leontine Dufrene Louviere; husband Louis Comeaux, Sr.; one step-son, Louis Comeaux, Jr.; two brothers, Herbert Louviere and Norman Louviere; two sisters, Ludia Cortez and Bertha Cunningham.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church with Father Greg Fratt officiating. Ethel will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
