William T. "Tommy" McKee, Sr.

William T. "Tommy" McKee, Sr., 78, a resident of Morgan City passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Tommy was born on May 10, 1935 in Webster County, Mississippi the son of Jessie Hicks McKee and Audie Martin McKee. Tommy loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved being in the outdoors and could be found fishing with his wife or working in the yard. He was a hard worker making a living as a diesel mechanic for many years. He also loved telling jokes to anyone that would listen. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Doris Mason McKee of Morgan City; four children, Audrey Orr and husband Steve of Gainesville, Ga., Richard McKee and wife Wendy of Sanderville, Ga., Talford McKee and wife Linda of Greenville, Miss., Janie McKenzie and husband Willis of Bartow, Ga.; four step children, Francis Landry and wife Billie of Morgan City, Kathy Landry of Patterson, Carol Wiggins and husband Donald of Patterson, Elton Landry of Morgan City. Tommy is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Allen McKee of Kennedy, Tex. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Jessie Hicks McKee and Audie Martin McKee; one daughter, Judy Ann McKee; two sons, William T. McKee, Jr. and John E. McKee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Tommy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
