Mary Cecilia Furlette, 75, passed from this earth Friday, June 14, 2013 after a courageous battle with Ataxia.
Mary was born February 10, 1938 in Flint, Michigan to James and Mary O'Dea. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in Flint, Michigan and received a Master's degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her degrees were in psychology and Mary executed her calling by helping countless clients and enriching her patient's lives.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna McClung; three sons, James Furlette, II, Thomas Furlette, Dennis Furlette; five grandsons, Teddy Furlette, Andrew Furlette, James Furlette, III, Nate Furlette, and Jim McClung, III. She is also survived by two sisters, Noeleta Marie O'Dea and Patty Jo McGillen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary O'Dea; two brothers, Frank and James; four sisters, Doris, Sue, Rose and Loretta.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Berwick with Msgr. J. Douglas Courville officiating. Burial will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint, Michigan.
