Scarlet Ditch Gage

Scarlet Ditch Gage July 6, 1941 June 27, 2013 Scarlet A. Ditch Gage, 71, a native of Berwick and a resident of Morgan City passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center on June 27, 2013. She was the daughter of Julia Ratcliff Ditch and the late Warren J. Ditch. She was a loving mother, daughter and sibling and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Scarlet is survived by her five children: Buddy Burns Jr., Joy Burns, Robyne Owen, Brandi Walker and Jason Gage; her mother, Julia Ratcliff Ditch; two very special granddaughters that she raised as her own: Teyanna Burns Rivet and Sommer Burns Futch; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Mike Ditch and two sisters: Aggie Gibson and Julia Falgout. Scarlet was preceded in death by two husbands: Buddy Burns Sr. and Bert J. Gage; father, Warren Joseph Ditch; three brothers: Larry, David and Warren Ditch and one sister, Alice Ditch. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 6:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary being prayed at 7:00pm and will resume on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 8:00am until the start of mass at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the Mass of Christian Burial.
