Violet Guidry

Violet Marie Guidry, 94, a resident of Morgan City and a native of Louisa, LA, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Violet is survived by one son, Edmond A. Guidry and his wife Betty of Bayou Vista, two daughters; Mary Catherine Guidry of Houma, Ruth Guidry of Jeanerette, one sister, Gloria Wier of Morgan City, one daughter-in-law, Brenda Guidry of Bayou Vista. Violet is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Guidry Sr., two daughters; Maxine Hanks and Eve Marie Guidry, one son, Paul Guidry Jr., her parents, Edmond Joseph and Laura Borel St. Pierre, one granddaughter, Veronica Thompson, two brothers, two sisters and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm, resuming, Monday April 14, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 8am until 10am. Funeral service will commence at 10am at Twin City Funeral Home. Violet will be laid to rest in Morgan City Mausoleum.
