Vina Morvant

January 23, 1943 — August 17, 2013 Vina Marie Morvant, 70, passed away at her residence in Thibodaux. She is survived by her husband, Merlin Morvant; one son, Bart Von Buelow and wife, Dawn, of Thibodaux; four grandchildren; her mother, Mabel Pousson of Bayou Vista; one sister, Linda Durapau and husband, Edison; and three brothers, George Aucoin Sr. and wife, Betty, of Bayou Vista, Lionel Aucoin and wife, Mary, of Schriever, and Vincent Aucoin of Bayou Vista. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Mark Von Buelow; a son, Robert Von Buelow; a daughter, Cheryl Weise; her grandparents; her father, Adolph Aucoin Sr.; and two brothers, Adolph Jr. and Adam Aucoin. Vina was a loving and caring person. She loved to sing, travel, play golf and go on vacations, including cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico. She also loved her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home with a memorial service being held at 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association One Lakeway, 3900 N.
