Elnora Billiot McCloy Lombas, 89, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Elnora was born on October 11, 1923 in Morgan City the daughter of Albert Joseph Billiot and Nora Kiff Billiot.
Elnora loved spending time with her family and talking with anyone as she never met a stranger. She enjoyed being outdoors planting flowers and picking pecans. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Berwick where she loved attending church.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two children, John Naison McCloy of Morgan City and Nora McCloy Stevens of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Crystal McCloy Courville and husband Jerred of Mamou, La., Michael Bowling of Ft. Lauderdale Fl., Rodney W. Adams and wife Dagmar of Cave Creek, Ariz., Sean Adams and wife Natalie of Prairieville, La., Rebecca Rodriguez Casey and husband Ashley of LaGrange, North Carolina. Elnora is also survived by ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Virgie Hidalgo of Morgan City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband John N. McCloy, Sr.; second husband, Gilbert W. Lombas; two brothers, Albert Crame and Randolph Crame; six sisters, Mary Crame Vicknair, Violet Crame Bennett, Carrie Billiot McCann, Miriam Billiot, Joan Acosta, Eunice Billiot.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Berwick with Rev. Steven Porter officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will follow services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
