Donald R. Gray, 72, a resident of Pierre Part passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Donald was born on December 12, 1940 in Evansville, Indiana the son of John and Lois Satterfield Gray.
Donald loved woodworking and making things for friends and family. He also enjoyed collecting Indian Artifacts and guns; he also had a library of movies. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He worked fifteen years for Shell Oil, twenty years for Settoon Construction, and five years for C&R Contractors.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Jeanine Dupuis Gray of Pierre Part; three daughters, Lisa Boudin and husband Mike of Las Vegas, Dawn Godbout and husband Rob of Florida, Robin Gray of Florida; two step daughters, Majella Bailey and husband Jimmy Jr. of Stephensville, Nicole Daigle and husband David of Morgan City; five grandchildren, Meaghan Bailey, Brea Bailey, Amber Bailey, Reilee Bailey, Brittany Crouch; three great grandchildren, Sophie Rose, Jaydon Crouch, Avery Dupre. Donald is also survived by two brothers, John Gray, Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., Travis Cotton of Oklahoma; sisters; four sister in laws, Flo Marceaux and husband Horace, Merle Mula, Frankie Simpson, Susie Myers and husband Jerry; numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
