Wakefield H. Ball II, 56, a resident of Morgan City, La. passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at his residence.
Wakefield was born on September 16, 1957 in Mobile, Ala. the son of Wakefield Hardman Ball and Cleta Marie Woodard Ball.
Wakefield was the Captain of the M/V Anchor Boat Discovery for Diamond Services.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Vicki Ball of Morgan City; five children, Renee Mouton and husband Brandon of Moss Bluff, Joe Gentry and wife Amanda of Moss Bluff, Rochelle Gentry of Moss Bluff, Lauren Ball of Raceland, Wakefield H. Ball III of Moss Bluff; seven grandchildren, Maddison Gentry, Emma Gentry, Landon Gentry, Gabrielle Hebert, Austin Mouton, Tristan Martin, and Phillip Mouton. Wakefield is also survived by one sister, Rosalyn Ball of Mobile, Ala.; one special cousin, Reggie Gordon of Angleton, Tex.
Wakefield was preceded in death by his parents Wakefield Hardman Ball and Cleta Marie Woodard Ball.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Sigler Funeral Home 4248 Main St. Lucedale, Miss. 39452. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in the Woodard Cemetery.
