Cheryl Ann Aucoin

Cheryl Ann Daigle Aucoin, 51, a resident of Berwick and a native of Morgan City, passed away, Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who was always the center of attention. Cheryl enjoyed dancing and music, especially “Fats Domino”; some of her hobbies included, bowling, collecting teddy bears and clocks. Cheryl was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Sterling Joseph Aucoin Jr. of Berwick, one son, Sterling J. Aucoin III and his wife Danielle of Berwick, one daughter Danielle Aucoin and her Fiancee Jason Matthews Sr. of Berwick,her mother, Nelda Daigle, three brothers; Alfred J. Daigle Sr. and his wife Mayola of Patterson, Aubrey Daigle and his wife Nora of Morgan City, David Daigle and his wife Lisa of Berwick, four sisters; Barbara Toups and her husband Lawrence Sr. of Berwick, Gail Lombas and her husband Gary Sr. of Berwick, Kim Morin of Morgan City, Angela Burke and her husband Edwin “Ed” of Berwick. Cheryl is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher, Mackenzie and Hailey Aucoin, and Jason Matthews Jr. Two godchildren, Atanacio “Beda” Guerrero and Troy “Nanny” Daigle, and her GodMother, Genieve Broussard. Cheryl was preceded in death by her Father, Alfred Daigle, two nephews, Roger and Tracy Daigle, two nieces, Alicia Gerandt and Pamela Daigle, mother-in-law, Mildred May Falcon, father-in-law, Sterling Aucoin Sr., brother-in-law, Ernest Aucoin, and sister-in-law, Angela Aucoin. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm. The visitation will resume Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9am until 2pm. The Funeral service will commence at 2pm, Thursday. Cheryl will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery. Pallbearers to serve: “Beda” Guerrero, “Nanny” Daigle, Christopher LaCaze, David Balance, Caleb Guerrero, Malcolm Hillebran, Chad Toups and Gary Lombas Jr.
