Avanda Christina Salvador, 44, a resident of Morgan City passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Avanda was born on February 3, 1969 in Morgan City the daughter of Anthony Berthelot and Evelyn Holden.
Avanda was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She had a love for people and if she could help anyone in any way she would do so. She enjoyed bowling, going shopping and dancing, and sitting in her recliner watching Lifetime.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her mother, Evelyn Petree and father, Anthony Berthelot and step mother Annie Berthelot; four children, Jose Salvador Jr. and fiancé Micaela McHugh, Carlie Salvador, Robin Salvador, Kaylie Salvador all of Morgan City; two granddaughters, Brooklyn Kennerson and Jayla Salvador. Avanda is also survived by three brothers, Wayne Berthelot, Tracy Berthelot, Victor Berthelot; three sisters, Sedonia Lousteau, Shaleah Berthelot, Toni Marie Berthelot; paternal grandmother, Rosella Sanders; cousin and best friend, Antoinette Brown.
Avanda was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Berthelot; maternal grandparents, Aaron James Holden and Christabell Holden; paternal grandfather, Gervis Berthelot.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Avanda will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following funeral services.
