Rose Mae Suttoon January 7, 1933 January 5, 2014 Rose Mae Suttoon, 80, a lifelong resident of Morgan City went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that made her family priority. Rose is lovingly remembered for her wonderful cooking and especially her beef stew. She always had a place at her table for her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Rose leaves behind to cherish her memory her wonderful husband, Nolan Suttoon Sr. of Morgan City; one son, Ranney Suttoon Sr. and wife, Judith of Morgan City; three grandchildren: Leslie Suttoon of Morgan City, Ranney Suttoon Jr. of Morgan City and Joshua Suttoon of Morgan City; six great grandchildren: Blaine, Kaitlyn, Jonah, Madelyn, Gavin and Gabriel; two sisters: Virgie Chassion of Chachoula and Audrey Delaune of Lafayette and one brother, Aubrey Mayon of Sulfur. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Clonie and Evelyn Mayon; one son, Nolan Suttoon Jr.; two brothers and four sisters. The family request visitation to take place at Twin City Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 beginning at 9am until time of service at 1pm. She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following the service.
