Barbara E. Stockdill

Barbara E. Stockdill February 13, 1927 January 21, 2014 Barbara E. Stockdill, 86, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who took great care of her family. She loved to spend time with them and she brought joy and happiness to everyone she was around. Barbara will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Barbara is survived by her son, Harry Stockdill Jr. of Morgan City; four grandchildren: Erin Vincent of New Iberia, Kyle Vincent of Breaux Bridge, Trey Stockdill and Abby of Morgan City and Brittany Dupre' and Lonie Jr. of Morgan City; one great grandchild, Bowen Vincent; three nieces: Joann Buckley, Donna Crocker, Linday Stevens; one son-in-law, Ed Vincent; one sister-in-law, Dot Polaski Phillips along with a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Stockdill Sr.; parents, Adolf and Louise Polaski; one daughter, Susan Stockdill Vincent; one brother, Donald "Sonny" Polaski and one daughter-in-law, Frances Stockdill. Visitation will take place at Twin City Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2014 beginning at 5pm until 9pm and resume at the funeral home on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 8am until 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will start at 11am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
